  • What is One Step Above?
    One Step Above is an organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging discipline and self-confidence in children and teens. In addition to learning dance, gymnastic skills and technique, students are taught basic values of hard work, dedication and good sportsmanship.

    Who attends the studio?
    Our students are boys and girls ranging in age between three and eighteen. These students are from Monroe and surrounding counties including Bartholmew, Greene, Owen, and Morgan.

    What is Recreational Dance
    Our recreational dance program coincides with the academic school year and runs from August-May.  Students taking recreational dance classes can choose to take a variety of different classes including  allet, jazz, tap, clogging, hip-hop, pom pon, and gymnastics.  All recreational dance classes will end the season by performing in the annual One Step Above Recital. For more information please see our dance types.

    What is OSA Company
    One Step Above Dance Company is the name of our competitive dance teams. Membership in the OSA Dance Company is by invitation only and requires both time and financial commitments from each  tudent and their family.  All Company routines perform at two or three regional competitions each year. Every other year the Company will attend a National competition.  All company performances are  MANDATORY including regional and national competitions, local performances, and the annual benefit show.
